THE ART OF RECEIVING

strengthen customer relationship

Giving and receiving a gift can be a powerful and emotional moment. It often goes beyond just a transaction; a gift shows how you feel about a person.

It pays to invest in the other person

Giving a gift is a way to invest in a relationship. Receiving it strengthens the bond with (and loyalty to) the giver. Many employees seek a sense of appreciation. They want to be seen by others and be part of a team. A gift that adds to the team feeling is then ideal. Customers and suppliers also benefit from a token of appreciation. After having received someone’s trust, show your gratitude with a (small) gift.

What is happening in your brain?

Think about the moments when you yourself receive an unexpected little treat and the enthusiastic feeling you get from a surprise or reward. The kick of dopamine produced is the neurotransmitter that connects to the pleasure and reward centers.
Also, according to several studies, receiving a gift leads to increased cognitive performance. Respondents in these studies were able to perform a task better and faster after receiving the reward. In short, receiving a gift works through on all levels and boosts positive feelings.

Let’s get inspired

  • THE ART OF RECEIVING

Giving and receiving a gift can be a powerful and emotional moment….

  • THE POWER OF A GOOD CONCEPT

Unique gifts do not exist, but…

  • GAME OVER!

A powerful tool for attracting and retaining attention is gamification and AR.

Fixed moments?

In our opinion, you don’t have to be tied to fixed moments to give a gift. Surprising someone spontaneously and thanking them for the (working) relationship you have built together has a great positive impact on someone’s feelings about that relationship.

Unique gift

In times of the COVID-19 lockdown, Loyalty Makers developed a unique drinks package for a client. The client wanted to express appreciation for staff and create connection from a distance. The package also needed to be narrow enough to fit through the mailbox. Loyalty Makers then developed a shipping package in a custom design with the word “PROUD…”. After opening the box, the recipient found a card with mirror foil that read, “ON YOU!”, with packed goodies to go with the drinks. Because the recipient literally looked in the mirror, the feeling of being seen and appreciated by the employer was reinforced.

Also strengthen your relationship?

Loyalty Makers looks beyond the gift itself and considers all the elements that make receiving a gift so special. From choosing materials for unique, branded packaging to the element of surprise and the personal touch of the gift and/or message.
Your employees will feel appreciated and have the most fun unwrapping experience. This is the best way, with long-term effect, to strengthen the relationship and spark fresh motivation.
